Gettysburg Vacation

I had to DJ a reception in Gettysburg last weekend, so the wife and I stayed an extra day and did the tourist thing.

Was really neat to see, but I recommend you have a tour guide come along with you.

On thing I can't understand is why the Confederacy also have monuments. . . their entire goal is to enslave a race of people. . . ??

And as for the memorials; dead Americans are dead Americans no matter what the issue.

Great pics, I went with my daughters 8th grade class as part of a Washing DC trip and it was very poignant. The guided tour definately made it better.

My thoughts exactly....

There are millions of people living in the country today who are Confederate descendants (myself included) Gettysburg is hallowed ground regardless which side those who now rest fought for...
