Parrots and other feathered friends
Love the "doggies" thread so let's post our parrots and other feathered friends here.
This is our KiKi, an 18 year old Gold-capped Conure we've had since he was a baby bird of 8 weeks. He's giving his best "Hello" wave... no, he's not flipping us the "bird".

I expected something like this when i saw the title of the thread......what does that say about me...
But mmmmmm....chicken....LOL Well....I had 5 birds at one time -- now down to two...so here's the interesting story of my two left overs ![]() This is "Petey" (sadly she is deceased - and yes, I know -- Petey is a boys name but I thought she was aboy when we got her (back when I was with the ex-husband) and my "baby" bird...hatched in the cage, without my permission (naughty birds )...Woke up one morning, and there was the baby (ya ya, had eggs before but none of them had ever hatched...wasn't expecting any too) Baby bird was dubbed "wrinkles" until we could see what his/her feathers would look like...(that was kinda the fun part!) baby "wrinkles" getting her feathers (and now I know she is a she )And "Baby" bird and her father Jack (or, Jack Jack)...Baby's name is technically Pancake but....somehow she got stuck with Baby Bird ![]() I was creative with all the others names.... Baby is the blue/white and Jack Jack is the grey/yellow....Baby is actually bigger then Jack, funny enough...She doesn't let him eat...

I should take some pictures. We got like 7 birds.
An African Grey Parrot (Kano), a couple of parakeets, a dove, and the rest are canaries. This picture is from 2004 when we first got him, after my wifes Cockatiel passed away.

LOL To that one poster, you DON'T want a conure! hehe I had one of them for years, then, inherited a white-capped pionus, an African Grey, and a Goffin cockatoo.

Great pics - thanks all - I knew there were parrot, cockatiel and other bird owners in our forums...
Nice - at $500 per Gold-capped Conure that's an expensive bucket ! Thanks Nick !

that she does, but we let her be... I picked her up from a kind man whom gave her to me, she was being abused by the mans son. When I got Nikki she was in bad shape, her color was horrible, this is the day she came home with me, one can see how stressed she was:
![]() ![]() and after some love and care from momma, Nikki has her color back. She is a bit mean, but she is loved.. ![]()
