Need out of state title

I have a problem, we bought this Camaro from Georgia, and were waiting for the paperwork, seller said they are lost, no title. I now sits at my fathers house in San Antonio, Texas waiting for a title, its been years now, can I still get a title? Can I file for a lost title if its from out of state. Can I do anything or is it an expensive yard decor? Don't want to put money into it if I can't get a title in my name.

The state should also have a copy of the title and can reissue it to you for a fee most likely. Call the George Secretary of State.

Not all states even have titles for vehicles older than 1973 (NY For example, when I sold my 69 Roadrunner since I never registered it all i could give was a bill of sale). Do you have a bill of sale of some sort from the owner to you?

Check out the last post in this thread, guy is from texas says that state is pretty easy about just giving you one:

I used this place http://www.its-titles.com/ to get a new title for a bike some years ago. I was a bit nervous but everything worked just like they said.
