It's an exhibition driving ticket. What do I do? Fight it? Pay it? Do I have to go to court? I don't know. Please, someone help me.
Jeez, you're in a V-6 too!!! I certainly hope I never run into this same cop (it's a possibility), my car is quite loud even without the echo of a bridge!!! I would fight it...just on principal. It may end up costing you even more but that's just BS!!!

Yeah, it would be nice to hear from the other side of this incident.....

especially when the OP was driving a 1LT .......OP, do you straight pipes on it or something?

I understand the being under a bridge and all, but there had to be something in particular that attracted the attention of the officer enough to take enforcement action???

OP, If you feel you were wronged, then take the matter to court and report the outcome after the judge/jury finds that the enforcement action was in fact BS.
Good luck!!

if the ticket doesnt invlove any points on your license and it is not expensive i would just pay it you will waste more in gas and in court fees.

If it will increase your insurance than fight it, otherwise just pay, it will probably be more trouble than it's worth to fight it

I'm not sure if it will effect insurance or add points. Is there a way I can check?

it is considered an exhibition ticket:

Violations of North Dakota driving law resulting in assignment of three points:
  • Exhibition driving on highway.
  • Violating North Dakota driving law corrective lens restriction.
  • Failing to stop at RR crossing.
8Point System. I. An offender, who accumulates 12 points, is subject to a 7 day license suspension. If they accumulate ≥13 points, their license is suspended for 7 days for each point over 11. '39-06.1-10(2) II. The following points have been assigned for speed related violations: Reckless driving-8 points; aggravated reckless driving-12 points; basic speed rule violation-6 points; drag racing-10 points; exhibition driving-3 points; and, failure to use care-2 points.

b. "Exhibition driving" means driving a vehicle in a manner which disturbs the peace by creating or causing unnecessary engine noise, tire squeal, skid, or slide upon acceleration or braking; or driving and executing or attempting one or a series of unnecessarily abrupt turns.

Thats harsh,I checked some different states and Montana looks to be a great place to drive.

Low points and a high points limit.

My neighboring states not so much NY and Mi.
