Bullshit Ticket

I was driving home, went under a bridge. There was a stop light and it was red. It turned green so I pressed on the gas because I was going up hill and was only going 20 instead of the speed limited of 30. Since I was still under the bridge it made a louder noise then usual. Cops pulls me over for "reving" engine. $50 ticket.

It's an exhibition driving ticket. What do I do? Fight it? Pay it? Do I have to go to court? I don't know. Please, someone help me.

I would say fight it, but you will probably have to pay close to $50 (if not more) in court fees.

Well that really SUCKS! The officer must of had a bad (slow) day, all they want is the $! On a lighter note it kinda reminds me of the movie "FARGO"! Again they just want your 50 bucks.... my opinion. It's a BS ticket, maybe somebody with a little law background chime in with a little helpful advice. Good Luck

Be thankful you don't live in Crapiforniastan. Last time I heard of a $50 ticket was for parking in a red zone.
I'd love to hear from the LEO who issued the stub to the OP. These "I got a ticket" threads are missing the other side of the story.

ugh what a pain. I hate hearing about BS tickets like this. just cops getting money for the city or whatever. they need to put up the badge and go into sales if that's their job now.

Just pay it. I got a BS ticket for going 49 in a 25, stupid redlight camera and I was at a complete stop at the light, made a left hand turn and the camera got me going 49 within 20 feet of the stop.

I am impressed. I didn't know a V6 could get up to 49 in 20 feet, but it wasn't worth the time I would have to use to take off work and fight the ticket.
