I was actually the one to initiate email. It was a fun date, but I wasn't really feeling it. I thought it would be classier to say so than to leave her hanging...but I did expect some backlash

Call her as if you never knew about the email, then explain how you are outraged that your roommate accessed your email again and sent such an offensive message to her. While she's on the phone, have your roommate come into the room and proceed to beat the stuffing out of a pillow with him screaming in the background, and then hang up abruptly.
