I am not an FFL but have friends who are so take my words with a grain of salt...

Some cons are that I believe the ATF frowns upon people running them out of their homes now which means you would need a brick and mortar store or have a performance/gun shop. I have a friend who was grandfathered in and can still run his out of his house.

Another con is you have to do xx amount of business to justify having it. If you could do a few transfers or sales a month, I think you would be fine.

You might try some gun specific sites and look around. Start here:

It is a whole subforum about FFLs.

I looked at a Kahr and they were even more pricey than the Glock, but very nice gun. If hiding wasn't the issue, I would have a new Remington R1 in 45 caliber...I love that gun.

How do you put those "clips" in your Glock??? Sorry, i couldn't resist.

I'm glad you said that. I was going to the other day but passed on it...

Modern firearms take magazines... I do have an M1 Garand that takes clips...

I just got my Kimber TLE Rail II frame duracoated. Disassembled the gun myself, actually very easy. Only bummer is that the barrel nuts that hold the grips on are now cross threaded. Will have to find a tap/dye with the proper thread pitch as none of mine were the right one.

Came out beautifully in my opinion. We'll see how it holds up over time.

I'm thinking about doing the slide as well, but I'm a little apprehensive about removing the sights.

I know a guy that is a verified BAD ASS and has been in combat in the Military, Blackwater and other private security. I was giving him shit one day for carrying a little .380 (I daily carry a .45 1911) and his exact words were

"Dude I'd carry a .22 If I had to. I promise you, shoot a mother****er in the face, neck, chest hand etc with ANY caliber and he'll give up the fight really damn fast"

Nice man

If you don't mind my asking, is there any special requirements with owning that shotgun for the average bear that you know of?

First time in this thread. Thought I'd ask...

Is it weird that I got this for my wife for Valentines day?

Ruger 10/22 Carbine.

Not weird at all. One year, I gave my wife a Glock 26 and part of her present every Valentine's Day is 9mm ammunition I load for her.
