Some cons are that I believe the ATF frowns upon people running them out of their homes now which means you would need a brick and mortar store or have a performance/gun shop. I have a friend who was grandfathered in and can still run his out of his house. Another con is you have to do xx amount of business to justify having it. If you could do a few transfers or sales a month, I think you would be fine. You might try some gun specific sites and look around. Start here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_6/44_FFL_Discussions.html It is a whole subforum about FFLs. http://www.atf.gov/firearms/how-to/become-an-ffl.html |

I just got my Kimber TLE Rail II frame duracoated. Disassembled the gun myself, actually very easy. Only bummer is that the barrel nuts that hold the grips on are now cross threaded. Will have to find a tap/dye with the proper thread pitch as none of mine were the right one.
Came out beautifully in my opinion. We'll see how it holds up over time. I'm thinking about doing the slide as well, but I'm a little apprehensive about removing the sights. Last edited by monstertodd; 02-02-2012 at 10:59 PM. |

I know a guy that is a verified BAD ASS and has been in combat in the Military, Blackwater and other private security. I was giving him shit one day for carrying a little .380 (I daily carry a .45 1911) and his exact words were "Dude I'd carry a .22 If I had to. I promise you, shoot a mother****er in the face, neck, chest hand etc with ANY caliber and he'll give up the fight really damn fast" |

Not weird at all. One year, I gave my wife a Glock 26 and part of her present every Valentine's Day is 9mm ammunition I load for her.
