QUESTION: It jerked when you tried to drive it after the fact?
Cant. The wheel is actually straight in the picture. The impact bent and snapped the tierod on the right side. Also that rim is cracked too. They literally had to drag it off the track for the most part before they could get that front end to clear. Then they finally got it on the rear wheels 15-20 minutes later. That's when it started clunking/jerking/hesitating like something was catching inside the diff while towing it off the track.

When they dropped it off it appeared to be in neutral but I go to start and let off the clutch and it hops like it was in gear. Clutch, neutral again, fired right up and idled.

Then when they go to load it, it's clunking and jerking again even though I had disengaged the drivetrain from the engine.

I'm thinking the trans held up more than the 10 bolt and the diff burst under the forces of going backwards in 4th gear looking back now.

Meanwhile.. I found a pen:

If it came down to either the T56 or the 10bolt breaking, I'd put my money on the 10bolt. It's a cheaper fix too - here's hoping.

Yeah, I'd imagine the 10 bolt would have snapped under the load before the transmission, allowing it to freewheel..sorta. However trying to start it from neutral like it did was strange..

Engine sounded fine, no pings or anything. And the clutch 'worked'. Eh.. think I'll give him a call in a bit here to see if he's found anything (or even started.)

EDIT: Just got off the phone. He's got the panels found but the numbers weren't 'friendly' for driveline items and the wheels. I may just have him find a shit pair (bad finish/scuffed/etc) and take the PA6es to a wheel shop to be blasted and polished straight up.

First thing's first - worry about getting it driveable before the cosmetics.

That's just the thing. Just get a pair to run on now and then blast 'em later for looks. Doesn't matter if they're scuffed or flaking. Hell I think the tires even survived, so if they could un-mount 'em..
