Ya that garbage pisses me off. NO ONE should pay 7K and get a torn apart/non working car and a bunch of parts. The statement from the tranny rebuild makes it pretty obvious that the car had issues that should of been covered under warranty regardless.

No calls, hasn't moved an inch from the front lot since Saturday. Methinks he's trying to track down parts and already did the inspection.

Wherein the parts computer catalog thing is being a beyotch..

Also, if only Revo were here.

And this one is probably more your type, Brando.

I don't know what shape your trans/clutch is in, but if your rear end is busted, those can be had on the cheap. Couple hundred bucks around here for a used unit. I hope it works out for you man.

Basically my question is would it jerk hard and click loudly, yet NOT leak if the diff exploded?

Nothing on the track, nothing on the spot they dumped it, nothing on the flatbed, and nothing on the ground 3 days later now. I assume the pumpkin's seal would have blown a bit or something.

It's very possible that it broke without leaking, but maybe you'll get lucky. Looking at the picture (and going off of my rear end, which I recently took apart), it's possible that the impact only broke the C clip that holds the axle in place. This is a $5 part. Fingers crossed.

QUESTION: It jerked when you tried to drive it after the fact?
