What's great is there is cause for celebration month after month when the sales figures come out. Especially when you look at the amount of cash GM DOESN'T have to put on the hood to move Camaros off the lot. While the lack of incentives is perhaps frustrating to potential buyers who have grown to expect them, the price/performance is already an incredible value to begin with.

The Camaro has such a compelling presence (love it/hate it) that I don't think a few HP here or there are going to knock someone to the Mustang side of the fence. Especially as the inevitable oneupsmanship ensues...

The 2009 and 2010 Challenger R/T's arent the same animal. They look the same on the outside, but inside there are a few ways to tell the two apart. Their engines arent direct copies of each other, neither is the suspension or computer.

Expect some changes in 2011, maybe a more aggressive stock tune to bring the HP and TQ up slightly to compete with the V6 Mustangs..but thats about it.

2012 is the model year to look out for, thats when you'll see some pretty interesting changes in the Camaro to respond to both the 6.4L SRT8's and the 5.0L GT's. My bet is that if the Z28 isnt brought into production, the SS's will get some boosts.

Heck, if they would just throw less restrictive exhaust on the v6 it would top the 2011 v6 Mustang in hp and torque. A tune would add even more, but isn't really needed. This going by posted 2011 Mustang numbers.

I agree that we will see some minor changes in the 2011 Camaro, just enough to tide people over to 2012, when one can probably expect bigger changes.

I'd be happy with Chevy removing the torque management from my a6 and a 100lb diet, lol.

And when they do that they lose mpg rating's. I dont think it will be that easy. Unless they only up it a couple of horses just for braging right's.

a. makeing the enignes load easier isnt going to cost mgp.

b. the v6 hp numbers are so similar they both could be fudged up or down a few hp and nobody would ever know. They could of maxed it out on a dyno at 304 and said well it could hit 305. Its stupid to think thats gonig to matter.

You literally have to do nothing to claim a few higher hp. I mean do you guys really think the 4th gen ss made more hp than a z28?

Yes...but more than they claimed it did.

SAE changed all that. It's very difficult to fudge numbers today.

It is interesting how a thread limited to the number of Mustangs and Camaros sold has expanded to discussion on the suspensions of these cars.

suspensions are selling points of cars to some people.

Then tell me why the SS will easily beat the Z28 in a drag.
