This is a damn cool challenge regardless of who wins.

Props to Lutz.

Just to set the record straight on certain people in that list cause its painful to see them referred to as no names:

John Heinricy - GM Exec and Professional Race car driver
Aaron Link - GM engineer not a professional race car driver (he may drive them all the time but there is a huge difference between driving them all the time and racing a car)
Brian Redman - former Formula 1 and Sportscar race driver. Hosts historic races
Johnny O'Connell - Factory Corvette Race Team Driver

This pro vs non-pro argument is a little humorous. Anyone who thinks you must be a pro to be a good driver surely hasn't spent any time at a road course. I've known pros, and several non-pros who would equal in terms of driving skill. Not everyone has aspirations to be a paid driver, some people prefer racing as a hobby. Some people earn far more income, and prefer a more stable lifestyle than being a car driver. It isn't like this M3 owner just walked in off the street with zero track experience. He graduated a race driving school, and for all we know he could be at the track weekly. Might even be that particular track, and home field advantage is huge with racetracks.

Anyways, just throwing this out there. You don't necessarily need a paycheck from racing to be considered an expert driver.

Very true... 2 of the most natural talents i have ever seen are guys who spend 90% of their time autocrossing. One friend of mine decimated the Chevy Rev-it-Up a couple years ago defeating many pro drivers and winning himself a Corvette C6 in the process. Hes a Mercedes Master Tech and is very happy with his job.
