Jesus said you could separate for the legitimate reason of fornication. However He never said you could remarry.

Paul also said it was better to marry than to burn with lust, he was speaking under the authority of the Holy Spirit who is one with God, the father and the Son, Jesus. 1 day the religious people of the day brought a woman to Jesus who was caught in adultery, I'm sure u know the story, they wanted to stone her, and I bet you were there ready to throw your stone too, but what I always wondered about was where was the man that was with her, doesn't it take two to commit adultery? And not that it's any of your business, but my ex is re-married. She's the one that cheated releasing me from my part of the marriage covenant, just as if she were dead, thereby releasing me to remarry if I want.

Actually I was about to say something, but then I read this post and I've got to say it's written better then I would have. So
The best advice is to find a girl that would rather spend her money on her car then her clothes. But considering the possible outcome, a girl in dirty old clothes is rather unappealing, I say spend your money the way you want to spend it and let her spend her money the way she wants to spend it. Just don't get married, because then all of your money somehow becomes the family's money and she tries to become a control freak. Though this doesn't come from personal experience, I know a lot of people that got stuck in this situation
