you best go back and read the thread that i linked to.

I just thought about something. Say a few ZL1 owners do start posting lap times from diff road courses. They say my car went around the track at x.xx. Who the hell is gonna know if thats a good time or crappy time?? What do they have to compare it to. Even if theres a mustang racing at the sametime, whos to say that mustang was driven well or not driven well. We have nothing to go off of being that every track is different.

We all know one thing tho, and thats what a car should run in the 1/4 mile. No matter what dragstrip one races at we will know whats a decent time or crappy time. Even with the variables like elevation and weather.

So?? We dont have Recaros or a carbonfibre dshaft but we have the option of an Auto tranny. Im sure some of the 55+ y/o guys will thank GM for this option.

you said there was more than one dynoing 525rwhp.....512rwhp (also not a dynojet i believe) is not 525rwhp. again henesseys dynoed 467rwhp and is trapping the same as all the others. The MPH doesnt lie.

525 and 512, and you dismiss it. really? you hate gm that much? why are you even here?

the manual zl1's seem to be trapping almost 2 mph faster than the stock auto that was tested. according to your theory that MAY indicate more rwhp. but i dunno.

Honestly the cars should be run without a roll bar. Literally right off the lot.

A roll bar itself greatly increases the rigidity of a chassis.

There is a lot of tension in this thread, it makes me laugh that all these people are getting stressed out why would anyone care what the shelby puts out PWR wise It still looks like a mustang in the end so if u dont like the looks of it ur not gonna buy it, I for myself cant stand the look of the newer mustangs even shelby'/SVT Cause its actually SVT that makes them not Shelby its just his name thats all. I hear alot of bench racing as well like everyone is a professional race car or drag racer If u have manual many things can happen as in missing a shift and no matter who ur racing they are gonna pass u and prolly win. Oh and to who said Auto Zl1 is for 55 and up doesnt realize the auto is quicker to 60 and in the 1/4. No everyone has two legs in this world so Auto is fine.

Don't take it that way. I'm just shocked and actually find it badass. I mean seriously? Who would of thought with a 500hp+ car would come in a auto? Wish ford would do that with the Shelby. More power to the player thanks to tuning.
