I'll still have the car. My previous car before the Camaro SS I had for over 10 years. I got back what I paid for with my SS trade in so I would have been stupid not to do it. Like I've said before, I was at first going to trade it in for a 2011 Camaro with a HUD but none were available in cyber grey with the orange interior so it was a no go. Better and faster cars will always be around the corner, however 624 HP after spending a little over $7,000 is a great deal, especially if its covered in a warranty. However until my car is paid off, I don't have the money for it right now, so it will have to wait. I'm pretty sure these superchargers will be tweaked even further with more testing done by the time I buy one so less of a chance I'd be hurting my car as well if I wait.

For $7,000 more and a total of around $37,000 msrp (lower with xplan/supplier discount) you can have a beast that can put up a fight with the best of them, and easily eclipse the 2011 GT500 for less money.

That's right.. That is why I will be getting the 525 HP one.. Plenty fast for me.. I made a mistake in the wording of the post above.

There was a thread on this and we are estimating about 10k for the GM Supercharger.

Leave it to Ford to continue to set the bar for muscle cars...GM, while getting the Camaro to market in and of itself is amazing, has done little to continue the process!

The GM supercharger offered is nothing more than the supercharger! You'll need to add roughly another $4K to the process as well as kiss your factory warranty bye-bye. It's not a complete kit...you'll need pulleys, drives, intercooler parts, tune, etc, etc, etc.

Once again, GM has been left behind by the blue oval!

The 2012 camaro will be getting an updated interior and likely performance upgrades as well.

Then the mustang will respond.

He is going to have a hard time keeping up LOL.

I think that will be great. Competition is what will keep both companies from trying to one up each other. The interior being changed will do wonders, however lack thereof of proper visibility will remain the same though unfortunately.

Love the interior, I just hope they don't jack it up although it won't matter as my 2010 is a keeper. Lack of visibility? Never had an issue with this.

Perhaps you haven't driven a Mustang or Challenger then.. The visibility around the Camaro is very poor in comparison. The interior has issue's if not it wouldn't be having a complete redesign in the first place. When you are backing out into a busy street with the Camaro, you have a huge blind spot over your shoulder (picture below). Ofcourse you learn to live with all these issue's and lack of vision so you have a nice looking low roofed car that looks like the concept (which had an even lower roof.

You'll notice the difference the moment you take a test drive in a Mustang or Challenger, trust me..

The interior is not getting a complete redesign, it is getting tweaked. The blind spot of which you speak of, is not or never has been a problem for me. Oh, and the interior won an award, can't remember exactly from who, but they don't give awards to interiors that
are not deserving.

Sorry GM, but it looks like Ford's jumping the gun on you again. You gotta get your act together!!
That aside, that's a pretty beastly kit. 624hp is no laughing matter...

Very nice .. I like how the at least have a 12m 12k warrenty on the base 7 psi kit .. I'd go with the 9lb kit and open the exhaust more .. and probably get another 30 - 40 hp out of that plus loose a few PSI in the process At the mustang weight that would be a nice car to run !!
