How many threads do we need to start about the same thing?!?

In terms of other car discussions, I assume there are Mustang sites for you all to gush over this stuff is there not?
There absolutely is! Further there are guys with Camaro's and Mopars who are welcome to come to mustang boards and offer an opinion. The z28 has been discussed and gushed over on some mustang boards. Sure there will always be people who are so brand loyal, that they have time giving the other guy props when warranted.

But ultimately Mustang and Camaros are both great American Muscle and friendly gushing/ragging back and forth is to be expected and enjoyed. An inability to recognize the accomplished of others is childish. I've seen both on both types of forums.

By the way, great looking Camaro and nice numbers for minumal mods. I hope my 5.0 responds similarly.

As a note, I just don't get all the brand bashing. Both Ford and Chevy are AMERICAN car companies. Both have great products. I drove both and bought the mustang. I was open to the Camaro, but for me the mustang was just the car I'd rather drive.

As someone said, give Ford their kudos without all the ragging. The new mustangs handle great, accelerate like a mad man, and have an interior and features that are absolutely awesome. If you haven't driven one with the electronics package, you need to. Likewise, what the hell is not to like about a big fat ls motor in a sexy body. The camaro is a beast and arguably better looking than the 2011 mustang.

Now let's go out there and beat up some caymans, STIs, EVOs......

Well said!!

If it did happen, I would leave this site as well. Comparing the two cars is relegated to this single thread, and all other Mustang talk is put into the Mega thread. That makes only two threads you have to read and respond to which is not that much. If you want the Camaro to be improved for the 6th gen, then my criticism of the 5th gen becomes more important than everyone loving what has been given to them all the time.

There are things you get used to doing while using the Camaro as a daily driver, like moving your head forward to see the street light if you pull up to the normal stopping point designated by the county. Backing up into a street with cars going faster than 40mph was pretty scary since you can't see through the very large rear pillar over your shoulder. You get used to this but once you go back to a "normal" interior with "average" visibility all of this becomes apparent. As Matt said, visibility is a big problem with the Camaro when it is compared to its competition. Can that be fixed...no..At least not until the sixth generation Camaro is released. Reviews that put down the interior are valid ones when they talk about visibility. I personally liked the old school look of the interior of the Camaro. I don't need all the gadgets and gizmo's which is why I ordered a plain Jane 1SS.. However the interior of the new Mustang 5.0 is a major improvement in functionality over the SS. The little cover for the cup holder is one example that I can think of while the lumbar support is another. The area above the rear view mirror is not blacked out, you can see through it above the mirror adding to the visibility. The rear-view mirror is smaller to boot on the 5.0. These are real life comparisons that not even Matt talked about but I can because I did use the Camaro and am using the 5.0 as my daily driver. Did I enjoy driving the Camaro SS for a year? Yes I did, even though it had shortcomings, it was fun to drive. However, it is a more pleasant experience to drive the Mustang 5.0 on a daily basis just as many reviewers have also said, not only Matt. Also, the pedal's are too far apart making heel to toe very difficult while driving stick. In a Stang it is like most other vehicles, easy to do.
Same type of crap we heard when people were buying 215hp 15 second 4.6 GT's over 350 hp LS1's in 1998.

That type of little BS doesnt bother a true camaro enthusiast...in fact some even like being inside something different than your average car.

And from the looks of sales the camaro is dong fine. What did the mustang 5.0 sell 1 more car than the camaro last month? even with offering more incentives and a whole new powertrain?

A mustang fan will always be a mustang fan and vice versa

Thanks for the compliments, car is getting cammed as we speak. Without a doubt I'm sure your 5.0 will respond the same way!

Thanks for the level headed responses you bring to the threads, if all the Mustang guys were like you it would be a whole lot better!

Are you kidding me? It has been done already. 42x-43x rwhp.

YOU ARE CLAIMING A ~120 RWHP GAIN FROM BOLT ONS? SERIOUSLY?

I have also seen 370rwhp with a tune. I have also seen some lose hp with a CAI. Why dont you quote them? Dyno discrepancies....when my cars tune was done it would vary up to 15hp between pulls on the same dyno on the same day.

That means nothing. We have to see quite a few of them over some time with cams to get a picture.

An OHC 5.0 liter motor already revving to 7k (actually 7250 is what they need when stock) will simply not respond the same to a cam change as a 6.2.

Well, it's not the Mustang guys reposting this. It must be hard to see all the new Mustang related announcements lately being a GM guy. GM needs to get some more info out soon, or you guys are going to bust.

Just enjoy the competition, we'll all benefit.

Good lord..

Nevermind then, this thread is getting really nasty. All I was saying was that I wouldnt be surprised if a previously untested combination of parts reached a certain level. No need to get all torqued up and make some snarky little sh*tty jab.

I'm done, I dont own either car so I have little interest in the big d*** contest going on here.

GM did all they needed to do for me....they gave me a sharp looking car with a well proven engine that responds to simple mods.

I don't need them to give me anymore than that....but that's just me, maybe I'm too simple?

I see you're point... But, recent posts on your behalf don't quite convey the same point of view as this one...

FWIW.
