I spend all my extra cash on the car. I'd rather buy car parts than shoes/purses/dozens of clothes. I've always told the boyfriends if they want to buy me something, buy car parts, not something useless like flowers or candy or jewelry crap. My parents have the buy what you want relationship. Dad buys whatever he wants and Mom gets whatever she wants. The only time there's issues is when she wants him to buy her something so she can save her money.

Don't fall for it...it's a trap!!! lol

That is funny because it's true

And I wish I still had ur problem dude. Be careful how you handle things or you won't have to worry about her spending habits anymore.

Then, it was the purses; pretty much same deal. I have bought her several myself as gifts and then after a few months, they go the closet to only be used once in a blue moon. When asked, she says, "I used it too much" or "I am just rotating" or something similar.

Now, it a case for her iPhone. She is looking at them online and just sent me an email with about 12 links to different ones. She has had four in the last 3 weeks b/c they don't look right or feel right or fit right or whatever.

UGH!!!!

Then I catch hell for wanting to buy a spring/sway kit. I get, why do you need that, what is wrong with what is on there now, why so much, etc. So, then I tally up her shoe/purse/cell phone case purchases over the last few months, and say its the same cost but I will ALWAYS use mine and get great benefit from it and never tire of it. Of course, I catch more hell for that.

/rant
Just get the upgrade and tell her to hush and return to the kitchen.

I don't want to say I'm awesome but....I'M AWESOME...
my friggen Ex-Husband was lucky as sht to have me - I didn't care what the hell he spent his money on - as long as the bills he was in charge of paying got paid then have friggen fun with the rest of it....

I didn't btch about what he spent his money on so he couldn't btch about what I spent my money on (and yes - like your wife I have more shoes then I could ever need - too many that I've lost count in the triple digits and I don't care....my money...my addiction....)

I have never told a man it's ok for me to waste money and not for him - as long as the bills are getting paid then that left over money should be used for whatever you want. I mean, within reason...

Heck yes, that's the beauty of separate accounts for fun money, and a joint for the bills. No one has to be concerned about how the other one spends their fun money.

Can you talk to my husband, I've been "hinting" about a CAI, Inc. CAI for my 2SS. He doesn't want me to add performance mods - he's ok with "some" appearance mods though... Wants me to leave it stock.

By the way, I own about 5 pair of shoes and only half of my closet is full. Did buy three C5 t-shirts at the Fest though.. Lori
