MF2SSRS: I appreciate your defense i do not make this up for my pure entertainment. I think that would be goofy and that type of person must have no life. I do care about their stories thought but they must realize that was probaly 10 or 15 years ago when they were 16 so they have to remember times have changed.
menendez1293: I agree ap world is extremely hard. Your lucky to get a camaro. Insurance for me would b 1500 a year. |

When I was 17, I got a hand-me-down 1989 Toyota Camry (V6, 5MT). It wasn't much but I loved every second of it.
When I was about 1.5 years through college, that car bit the dust and my parents split the cost of a car with me. I CHOSE a conservative, cheap, practical etc. car (Honda Accord) and figured when it comes time to buy myself a car, on my own, I'd make it a special event and a car that I'd remember forever after I get through school, job, etc. I'm 26 now and that car is the Camaro. My point being - you kids could take hand outs and get your dream car right now and what not but that would just be a total distraction from what really matters. Work hard and buy something on your own and I can guarantee you, you'll get 1000000000x more satisfaction driving it than when your parents bought it for you. |

no i am past lucky. I dont rub it in anyone face that would just be looking for trouble. I would hate to see my car keyed for a very stupid reason. But my insurance would be some where from 3500 to 4000 a year. And thats with having a 3.85 cumulative unweighted GPA so i am taking drivers ed and maybe a defensive driving course to lower so it can be affordable |

So, buy something that holds it's value a little better but common enough so you won't have problems selling it... well not as much.

Man alot of people on this forum need to grow up! This kid is responding to all the bitterness with alot more intelligence than some of the responses from the so called adults. If his parents have the finances to buy him a new car and they think the kid deserves it then why the hell does it matter to you.
Anyway, My advice to the original poster. If you cannot get the camaro until senior year than I would just buy a older vehicle and pay cash for that if you can. If you lease for a year you will probably loose alot of cash. It sucks waiting but it will make the camaro that much better! If money is no object then just get the camaro. Why lease a brand new car to replace it with a brand new car in a year. Good luck and good job on the grades! |
