Don't forget if it's an arcade version (all white, no hard drive). It is a jasper chip

That's what mine is. The arcade version. Do you know if I can add the hard drive to it and what does that do for me? Sorry I'm a rookie at this.

Yup, you can buy a hard drive and use it. It allows you to play online and save larger amount of game data on the hard drive. Along with videos, demos, music, picture, netflix, and pretty much anything else you can do off and online.

The arcade version is meant to be used with arcade games that can be downloaded online, which require a small amount of memory, or for those that don't care to save their games.
But a hard drive will open up a whole new world.
