Every range trip has had the following phrase uttered at least once: "How the hell are we out of ammo already?"

I went to WV last weekend to visit my son and took my VP40 since we were going to the range. I figured 100 rounds would do. Well, it kinda is when you can only load 10 round mags, lol. We did have plenty of ammo for his AR, Sig 9mm, and .38 special, though.

In a couple of weeks the mrs and i are having a big pow wow (pun intended) with family. I figure about 600 rounds of 7.62x39 and around 600 rounds of 9mm should last about 30 min or so. Hopefully the monsoons are done by then.

800-1000 rounds is the minimum I bring to the range or backyard.

Dayum.

I see the CMP has Service Grade Garands for sale again. Time to plan a road trip to Ohio (most likely next week).

I have been using this for a couple years now as well. I used to use remington rem oil spray. Like a teflon dry coating. Although it does not leave a good protection and noticed a older mouser that would flash surface rust with rem oil. That is why I switched to M-Pro 7.

I have used m-pro 7 for the last 3-4 years and I really like it. Seems to outlast most oils and perform even after extended range session times. I have a couple of guns I haven't oiled in over a year and they are still good.

I like how their line of cleaners is non-toxic and doesn't have noxious fumes.
