Looks like they adapted the ZL1 heat extractor.

Also, they are driving a Z/28 along side it, which is interesting.

I acknowledge the logic behind the wing, but woof.

I'm guessing we will see this thing at Detroit in January.

That car is going to be stuuupid fast around a track with the new aero kit. Any word on what may or may not be happening with a mid-engine Corvette?

Just noticed the car with the big wing in the aerial shots has a red caliper on the front, and a blue one on the back? Probably just a different color?

The rumors on this thing are all over the place (and they have been for years), but they're testing something that looks a lot like a mid-engine car.

Anyone notice how similar the wheels of the 2015 Z/28 and the supposed "ZR1" are?

.

Similar?? I don't see it. I wouldn't put much faith in it that those wheels on the 'ZR1' are going to be the production ones. Look at the previous pic of the 'ZR1'. Front and back are different and neither come close to either of those in your post. Just my opinion though.

They've been the same wheels since the beginning, so I wouldn't be all that surprised if those are the production wheels.

They are broadly similar, but nearly all the specific details are different.

Yeah I'm wondering if that could've been a potential test mule for the upcoming DPi racecar chassis. Possibly a test bed for the engine in the DPi (6.2L, based on the LT family)? Don't see how it could be a test bed just for that engine but anything is possible.
