I will help you! The Kia I drive is not by choice. I was in a serious car accident 2 years ago and lost my mustang to it. My wife was prego at the time and she had purchased this KIA right before we met. It was her car. Well, having a baby we needed to get a nice family car, so I used my mustang insurnace money and we got our Equinox. However that means I am left with the KIA because I am a good husband and i let my wife drive the new and SAFE Equinox. We can talk crap about my KIA all day, i hate the damn thing. But I need to drive it until Equinox is paid off and i get a new car for myself.

Well this thread went down the crapper.
The comment about the Camaro being a rip off of the concept mustang is totally ridiculous. The new Fusion does have similarities with the Aston Martin. But a rip off?? I say who friggin cares. Its an attractive regular family car for once...stop your whining. Bunch of children on here I swear. I also think that 34 MPH out of an ecoboost 4 is really not much if any better than Ford could get out of a direct injection V6 in a lighter mustang. They are getting 31 now...direct injection and lighter weight should equal another mpg or two on top of that. But then again 300+ HP is still higher than stock power average for most 4 cylinder turbo cars, so maybe a version tuned more conservatively could get higher MPGs than that.

I don't think you guys picked up on the point of my post. I was pointing out the ridiculousness of the whole "they ripped someone off" comment. You guys should know me well enough by now to know I am not a brand humper. Maybe I should have thrown up a few more pictures so that it didn't look like I was picking Ford. Here are 3 other strikingly similar cars. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Apex Motorsports; 10-07-2012 at 08:00 PM. |

...did your daughter get your wife pregnant? ![]() JK also I'm not surprised about her hating the Kia. Funny story though.. I was walking to the bar with my friends and we walked in front of this kid in a Kia. The traffic was at a standstill but, regardless, he decided he would rev his Kia to try and sound tough. I looked back at him laughed, made a I can't hear you gesture and then yelled "Hey dude if you're trying to scare someone bring the big boy toy not a lawnmower…" Needless to say high-fives ensued…. |

With the rumor mill indicating an eco-boost 4 cyl for quite some time, I figured there would be no v6 option... If the rumors are true with a 310hp 4 cyl, where does the v6 fall into play?
300hp 4 cyl, 375hp v6, 425hp+ v8? Given the options, if I didn't want the base 4 cylinder I would go straight for the v8. Less engine options = Less cost into the development of the car = more profit... More so if the same 2 engines can be utilized across the entire fleet. It only makes sense. It will be interesting to see what Chevy offers for the 6th gen. |

The sad part is that the new mustang will look just like every other new ford product instead if looking like a mustang "only" not every other car in the fomoco lineup.

As for the new design, it's the right way to go. Anyone who likes the retro design has already bought it. It's time to attract the new Gen-Y crowd. The Baby Boomers have had their fill, and if you don't understand that then that's probably why you're not in marketing. |
