That's because they are a global name. GM stuff gets rebranded and redesigned in other countries so maybe that's why.

I actually think that green Mustang looks pretty good.....even though the picture is horribly 'shopped. The headlights look weird as small slits however. I'm not surprised by the boosted 4 cylinder. The 6th gen Camaro will probably have a 4 cylinder option too.

GM will do the same thing. For every SS sold there's at least 8 to 10 v6 models sold. The same goes for the Mustang GT and the v6 Mustangs.

Hmm, I'd say the Camaro ripped off the Giugiaro Mustang from2005, more so than that sketch rips off the current Camaro.

It seems in every thread about a new rendering of the Mustang, somebody opens his/her mouth about how it copied the Camaro, which is comical considering the obvious similarities between the 2005 Mustang concept and the new Camaro.

Who's ripping off who here?

Here's a picture of it for reference.

I wonder what the sales would be if there were no constraints on the number of V8's that get allocated and the V8 was priced at the same percent over COGS as the V6.

The similarities between that randering and the 5th generation make it OBVIOUS that GM copied the mustang. They way it has 4 wheels and 2 doors really gives it away. The subtle way the Camaro also uses glass viewports for the passengers as well as the suspicious way the Camaro has a compartment in front housing the engine and what looks like the same type of storage bay in the rear is not lost to the keen observer.

I think GM thought they were being clever by hiding their plagiarism by using completely different styling on their Camaro, but you and I see right through that trick.

Sure, that car doesn't look exactly like a Camaro, but you can see similarities in some pieces of the design, and like I said, more similarities than the Camaro has in common with that Mustang rendering, but it's been labeled as a rip off. Of course it's not exactly alike jackass.

Yeah, I am not seeing a Camaro in that. I do see Aston Martin in the silhouette and proportions though.

Hmmmmmm

2013 Fusion..............3,350 pounds.................2.0T with 270 HP..............gets 33 mpg highway.

40 MORE HP and better mileage? Call be skeptical.

Still a few years away so I'll say maybe.

These threads really bring out the best in this forum

Complaining about Mustang copying Camaro

Complaining about Ford ripping off Aston Martin

You guys do realize the Camaro only exists because the Mustang started it all and Aston used to be a subsidiary of Ford? You may want to check out the names of the designers from Aston who started that look and those employed by Ford. Some of you would hate this car if it was a rolling Sara Underwood that made you sandwiches and gave you a back rub with a twin-turbo v10 under the hood. Grow up.
