Mustang Drivers - Page 5

I rode in my buddy's 1995 mustang gt auto with the 5.0 Windsor. I thought it had 300 lb ft of torque stock ?? Well anyways it felt as slow as my old Mazda Millenia, I tried telling him it's not that fast for what it is. He still thinks he can smoke anyone, even though his rpm gauge and speedometer both don't work.

I've always kinda noticed that older men and younger "shooter" girls (the party girls) drive Mustangs.

Ironically..all the Camaro's around Southern Oregon, except for maybe two (one of which is driven by friend of mine who is also a C5 member) are driven by 50+ year old men and women.

Most of the Mustangs are driven by a younger set.

the ones I see are always driving like they are p*ssed off, cutting you off like they got to prove there manhood or something. It's kind of pathetic in some cases. I know a couple fella's I played football with in high school that drive stangs and they are pretty cool but there are always the douche bag exceptions!

A lot of old or obese men drive Mustangs?. The same can be said of the Corvette, or a semi-truck (is that the point, a comparison of vehicle weight).

I would also like to say

. Your obsession with Mustang drivers is flattering.

On a more serious note though, yes, a lot of women drive Mustangs, but most of them are V6s. Usually, the GTs are driven by men. It's not a bad thing. If more women drove the Camaro V6, like the Mustang V6, maybe they wouldn't have had to discontinue them for 8 years.

I've heard Carol Shelby say that in several interviews as well. I think he has gotten a little full of himself as well as a little off in his old age. The way he tells it, he seems to think that all Mustangs where 100hp 6-cylinders and auto trans only until his GT350 came along, and that the 289 was his engine, not Ford's.

Trudat, even my buddy with the mustang (The one I mentioned teasing) used to love pushing me to mod my old MKVIII so he could help me work on it.
