Yea they aren't racing the GTR. Only Chevy races the Corvette.
Thanks...I had no idea that they were racing in that series. I stand corrected. Hope it helps them make a better street car like it did for Corvette.

I was the one that stated that Nissan did not race the GT-R and I admitted I was wrong. Sorry that I missed that series.

However, that does NOT detract from the fact that Nissan fails with the street car, because if you drive it like it is claimed to be driven, you VOID your Warranty when it breaks. PERIOD. The car's owners are suing Nissan...

That quote was not directed at you. And no you were not the first to claim that Nissan didn't race the GTR.

oh please they just now showed up, there is no pedigree, championships, etc..

you're reaching for any reason to validate the GTR, it's a free country, you can like the inferior performance car if you want

You do realize they have raced the GTR since 1969 right?

Even the "Godzilla" nickname is 21 years old.

thats awesome where are the venues and wins that reinforce your misconception that the GTR is as elite as the Corvette?

What is the point? you are nuts if you cannot recognize the GT-R, same if you can't recognize the performance of the Vette. That said I would rather have an 11 Z06 with the Z07 (I believe) package. You get ZR1 brakes, ZR1 suspension ( complete with magnetic shocks) for I am guessing a price much closer to the GTRs. If I am not mistaken an issue or 2 ago had the 11 GTR vs the 11 Z06 and the Z06 was a bit quicker, I really want to see an 11/12 Z06 vs a 12 GTR.

Not to stray off topic, but this comment sums up my thought on the Vette's sales.

"I will tell you the reason. The price has increased too much, too fast. I got a 2002 Z06 for a list price of aprox $50,000."

http://www.autoobserver.com/2010/01/...comment-192234

And I'm sure the Nissan fanboys are pretty excited now.

And Sax, I am curious if you have Ford going back to the drawing board as they offer NOTHING remotely close to the ZR1 or the GT-R V-spec performance level. You drive a Ford product...did you ask them to give you a GT-R killer? Just curious.
