I love the thermal. The AUG is a beast, especially with acog.

the only thing not realistic about that is being able to shoot someone from across the map with a pistol. If I shoot someone twice, i expect them to drop

Agreed

Rounds dont drop and there is very little leading needed, if any . Thats why I'm more partial to Battlefield And in all honesty, if you get grazed by a .50 Barret round, your fuct! All in all, COD isnt realistic, you just gotta take it for what it is.

I play Hardcore HQ when my friends aren't on. Its an easy way to build up guns that your not good with (pistols, sniper rifles).

Got my first nuke yesterday felt pretty good lol.

After I got it I took it off my killstreak, and just stayed w/ pred/harrier/chopper gunner, and got a 39 killstreak. Was pretty awesome.

It IS strangely satisfying. So who all was playing live yesterday during that glitch BS?! For those that weren't aware: Somehow a glitch got into the matchmaking system (on xbox live). You would somehow get dumped into a private party room (from matchmaking), and suddenly you have unlimited ammo (no reloads needed), and all launchers were fully automatic...

So needless to say, people were spraing noob tubes EVERYWHERE!!!!!!! It was so frustrating, I had to cuss a few people out for ruining the game Anyway, they finally got it fixed sometime yesterday evening, thank god!

yeah dude, I looked at the MW2 forums and apparently it started on Tuesday, so it had been going on for a while when I discovered it. It almost sounds like someone hacked the matchmaking system... either that or they completely failed to test a patch or something before the released it

My roomie actually just commented on that yesterday. He said 'the 1887s have TOO much range... there is no way I should have just made that shot'

I have an XBOX 360 but have been trying to justify a PS3. Anybody have both that can give a short thumbs up or thumbs down. I've read the write-ups and seen reviews on youtube but thought I would ask. I also have a wii for the social gatherings. I'm out of room.

If you have an XBOX would you prefer the PS3?

I got an Xbox 360 Elite about a year ago.... All my friends were on Xbox, so it was an easy choice for me. It's what you'd expect, its an Xbox. Problem is I am so damn lazy that I didn't want to deal with buying Xbox live and all that crap, so I just ended up playing with the guys and using it as a DVD player. Anyways that got real old real fast, and I wanted live.... paid for it, headset, cables and everything. I wasn't real happy about how much I spent on the whole thing because the box was so much to begin with... nor was I happy about this wire stretching across my living room because the 50 bucks for wireless ain't gonna happen.

So anyways I got a new roommate, and this one was a big PS fan. He starts telling me about all the pro's that the PS3 has over the Xbox. Your PS3 won't die on you like an Xbox, it comes with a blue ray player, there are more games, and apparently the games that are coming for PS3 are better.

SO he let me borrow his PS3 for a couple weeks.

I bought one 3 weeks later, and honest to god haven't played Xbox since. The user interface is so much easier, LIVE is FREE and WIRELESS. Literally just plug and play as long as you have a wireless network at your house. The system is constantly changing with system updates, all of which is done nearly by itself because of the wireless connection to PS Network. And I got burnt out on Halo which is the only decent game that Xbox makes and PS3 doesn't. I understand why people like Xbox's, I used to be one of them. But after playing both and seeing how easy it is to use and enjoy the PS3, I don't bother with my Xbox.

Ps. Don't believe the crap about free PS network online play being any less than Xbox live. If you have trouble with the online play, 99 times out of 100 its your own network that is the problem.
