Completely agree. WoW pissed me off. There is no strategy in it. It looks like this game may be my replacement for Warcraft forever. Which is sad, but it's the truth. I miss the old warcraft.:(

Although I haven't read the whole thread I'm wondering if online gaming is free?

I'm going to try to pick it up Tuesday after my final.

Have you played end game World of WarCraft raids? Theres lots of strategy involved and lots of cooperation required by 10 or 25 people. Watch the Lich King end boss event on youtube. Not easy.

As to the depth of game play in StarCraft 2, there are many levels of units that all require different strategy to utilize them to their full potential. It may be faster paced than other RTS games, but that also depends on the experience of the player. On the multiplayer side, there are different ranks that match you with players on your level. In single player campaigns, you can select the difficulty if you aren't that fast or skilled at multitasking in game. As with most games, the good players are fast and efficient but the game is not 100% catered to them.

I haven't done ICC, but I have done many raids over the years. Is there some strategy? A little. Some fights do require you to run to certain places so knowing the fight is important...but I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say WoW requires strategy.

Over the years, I've pretty much played almost every MMO that's come out. Add to that I've played pretty much most games that have come out as well. WoW can be fun to play, but I would say teamwork on raids is important, not strategy. Also, more important is GEAR. With gear, you can ignore a lot of the 'strategy' and just power through fights.

Really, what WoW is about, is grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding, grinding. Though I still play, since I got my Camaro I play far less because it's fun to go outside. I have 6 80's, and will have my 7th in a week or so. With Cataclysm coming out, I see no point in wasting my time grinding when all the gear will be obsolete after the expansion. So, I plan to have a character of each type at 80 by then. Last two characters I have to really level are a shaman and a druid, both in the low 20s.

Nope, I never played "Raids". I didn't get into the game much at all.

wow end game does involve strategy but you cant compare it to sc2 nor vice versa. they are 2 completely different styles. sc2 has so much more variations. it's like a chess match

I used to be one of "those guys" that worked and played wow. I was in the #4 guild on my server and one of the top 50 in the world. I quit about a year ago cuz I tried not raiding so much and it becomes so hard to get 25 10yr olds to cooperate if you arent a well built guild. so now I play SCII and I'm loving the battlenet chat b/c I can still talk to all my old friends from WoW and play what I want. I created a STARCRAFT II group so we can work towards getting a clan together

Still getting my butt kicked on multi-player I manage to pull off a win every now and then, I just have trouble building so ungodly fast like some of these people do!

Beta done, but people who bought the game get 2 7-hour passes to hand out to friends.

Here's a video I made from one of my matches. But now I won't be able to play any of you since you'll know my secrets
