I worked on the belt where you take the packages and load them onto the delievery trucks, so I can also tell you that not all packages get treated with TLC. You can imagine loading 4 trucks at once each with hundreds of boxes on them, unfortunately sometimes people just throw the packages on the floor, epecially if its a bulk order like wheels (multiple packages of the same thing or 1 big heavy package) either way the wheels would fall under this and are a PITA so I wouldnt be surprised if the loader dropped em or threw them on the ground either by accident or in a rush. If you can show where there's damaging to the packaging, then you can make a case against FedEx and hopefully they will reinburse you for the wheel or wheels that were damaged.
I kept everything...there is holes in the cardboard and etc...I'm not letting anything leave the garage, they arent getting off the hook on this one.

I agree, plus the seller should have shipped it in a box and not use plastic wrap with a piece of cardboard on the front and back and thinking that is going to protect the rims. If the seller did the wrapping himself and brough it to FedEx then I don't see how FedEx screwed anything up.

Hope it works out for you but I would think that it will take some time . I would send the wheels back and ask for a refund and pick up some wheels somewhere else . Good luck ....

not sure if you had insurance, but typically FedEx only covers 100.00 with out insurance. As for the packaging, Carriers wont usually accept a shipment if it isn't packaged properly. That being said I don't see how they would be able to blame poor packaging.

EXACTLY! And the shipper made it signature required so they had to look it over. If they felt is wasnt packaged good enough, then they shoulda said re pack it.

Each wheel was insured for 300.00.

That is 100% the person who packaged the wheels' fault. That is a horrible packaging job.
This is becoming common place around here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...1&postcount=20

The good news is that even though it is the seller's fault, since Fed Ex insured them and accepted them packaged like that they will probably cover them.

If they insure it the way it was packaged they should cover it.

Ok guys...so It's been 14 days, and I last heard from the seller 3 days ago,I text him 2 days ago and no response I text him AGAIN earlier today and he has yet to respond. I did confirm with FEDEX a claim was put in on March 3rd.

So, I'm starting to wonder WTF is going on, but I dont want to start negative feedback or anything YET, but someone pays you 1250 and the stuff shows up damaged, you'd think you would call FEDEX every damn day to make it right. I was only asking him to call every other day, as many have said you have to call daily. I think I've been MORE than fair, and I'm sarting to get pissed off.

Got word today that they are denying the claim...yet they accepted AND insured the wheels for 300.00 each.

Not sure which avenue to take now...or just take it up the tail pipe.
