FED EX....YOU SUCK!

So I bought some 20" OEM wheels off Anthony_v on here. They were SS take offs, PC gloss black w/ clear coat. He sent me tons of pics prior to and everything was good.

I recieve them on March 2nd, late in the afternoon, so I put them in my garage and didnt get to open them until March 3rd. So When I open them, I notice there is some damage to the wheels...

Pics of Damage:

I contact the guy I bought them from and told him about the damage, he is like WTF, and tells me he will contact FED EX and submit a clain on them. So, weve been in constant communication and he's been calling every day pretty much....so today I call them and the following conversation takes place:

ME: I'm calling to check the status on a claim.
FedEx: Tracking number, please?
ME: 7910xxxxxxxxxxx
FedEx: We're still reviewing the paperwork
ME: Ok, what is there to review? It's been 6 days and no one has contacted me about seeing the damage or anything?
FedEx: Im not sure, I wish I had better news, but all it says is that its being reviewed
ME: Ok, my car is on Jack stands, we have kids and full time jobs, I need this taken care of ASAP.
FedEx: I'm sorry.

I'd like to know what in the HELL is being reviewed. These idiots havent even come to look at the wheels yet, and now my car is sitting on jack stands waiting for the wheels/tires. I mean, do they think people have weeks to wait? We have 2 cars, full time jobs and 2 kids...1 car, NOT cutting it.

So FED EX you my friends are full of and you are really me off here.

Open them? If they were boxed, I find it hard to believe it happened during shipping. Not saying it couldnt happen. But seems a bit fishy. Especially if the portion of the box at that particular position wasnt damaged. Im sure FedEx will cover it.

yeah, that looks a bit off. if they were in boxes, how would there be a chip on the face of a spoke and scratches on the spoke? unless he packed the rims with rocks...

They werent "boxed" they had the cardboard on the face and back and then wrapped with the plastic. I never said they were boxed, I said I waited to open them...which meant taking the plastic wrap off and the plastic. Same thing happened to a guy here recently with fed ex who had his packaged the same way.

Do they still roll? If you've got kids and jobs, I'd install the wheels and let the paperwork catch up. No way am I missing money because of some scratches on my wheels. Good luck with you claim shipmate, or the sellers claim. That sucks that they scratched you wheels.

I'm active duty military, so I'm nt losing money, its just a hassle. I didnt wanna put them on because I was afraid they would say they wont cover them because I'm driving on them.

Me too, good luck recruiting...toughest job in the military. But, the claim is submitted, you've got pics. Hopefully the sellers got before pics. Not something to take off work for, IMHO. I know you're mad, but you were the one that made it sound like FedEx is making you miss work. Again, I'm not dumping on you. There's no way I'd let this interfere with family needs. "Ok, my car is on jack stands, we have kids, and full time jobs, I need this taken care of ASAP". I feel you frustration, honestly.

I'd be hassling the seller for a replacement and let him deal with Fed Ex since he's the one that filed a claim with them. Is the seller sending replacements? If he saw pics, why are you waiting on Fed Ex to do anything?

I guess I didn't pay enought attention to the fact these weren't from a dealer. Maybe if I could see the pics through my firewall...
