I've been over to pawn stars (actually "Gold & Silver Pawn") a few times visiting a friend that works there (yes, I'm serious) and just checking out the very cool merchandise they have. There's so much history in that place it's ridiculious.

Pawn Stars is kind of fun no brain entertainment. More history and high end merchandise with the occasional "it's not what you think it is" dissapointment.

Watched the episode of HCP last night where there were buying the guns. Yikes!!!! First of all I really want to know what really happened there. Target Sports is a fairly well respected store in the Detroit area. So my guess is the guy was pushed over the edge on providing a "deal" on everything being bought and when the HCP guy asked for a discount on the holsters he was probably then asked to leave.

HCP seems like watching and waiting for the train wreck where PS is at least interesting to see what merchandise comes in next.

There you are now 2 cents richer.

+1

I'm with you, Number 3...the first and only episode I saw of HCP was the 'gun episode' and that was it for me...no more of that...

Pawn Stars is fun and cute and silly and the people on there are a great mix...

Pawn Stars is the more realistic and has better people. HCP is too trashy and Detroit ethnic. Way too much DRAMA. I agree the Dad is a Dic@.

What about that biker bar show, full throtle or something, dude can't figure out why not enough folks will show up at his place when he looks like an a$$ with them dreads. When 90% of the folks your trying to attract would kick your a$$ if you walked into their local bar..... 2+2= barley making it

Having grown up in Detroit, It is on the 8 mile, called Amercian Pawn & Jewelry. I went there some years ago with a buddy of mine who bought a house and wanted to get rid of some of the items in it. They are slim balls. The inside of the place is nasty. Typical for the area it is in.
