For those that are complaining about the G8 GXP, compare it to the Charger/300 SRT8.

436 - 422 = 14 hp....not 20 and most agree this is due to exhaust/intake not AFM.

This is exactly why this car is going to fail.. Too expensive... I mean come on, $40,000 for this? The GTO had better looks in my opinion... And I own a G6 however pontiac has moved in wrong direction with its muscle cars..

GM IS bringing the Holden Coupe 60 stateside in a few years and it'll either be called the G8 Coupe, or it will have the GTO name-plate again...

This coming from a trusted, and reliable source. But that was also over the summer when I was informed about this. With GM's current state who knows what's going to happen. Who knows what's going to happen to Pontiac as a brand too...

Back on topic though. Yeah G8 GXP is nice but too much for my tastes....
Yeah but being a G8 coupe, it is going to have that ugly pontiac fron grill design and fake hood scoops.. Iif they redesign it to look like a Firebird front or I hate to say it the original GTO, then it will look great and sell..

id love to see a GTO that actually resembles... a GTO...

However w/ the economy and fuel wars, this Camaro is probably the last NEW muscle car for a while.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

the gxp will fail on price, even though its much less then the BMW, it is too expensive for the American budget minded person. look where in a ''f'' ing rescission 35,000 would be a more reasonable price.
