. the top gear review is on the new generation.
and mags-tv shows-reviewers all have a difference of opinion of which car they like best.
i'm not going to debate performance on the v obviously it has it going on. i just think it looks like
a cross between the malibu and impala. i've never walked outside and had a wow moment when seeing one.
i've done that with numerous other cars not only foreign but domestic as well.

p.s. "if the car is "god like" wouldn't you think for 60k people would be standing in line to get one?
it fills a nice niche as a tweener car.

No it's not. That's the last-gen CTS-V, which was a mediocre attempt. Top Gear loved the new CTS-V.

Cross between a Malibu and Impala? WHAT?! Have you even seen the car in person?

Of course there isn't a line to get one. It costs a ton of money. The ZR1 outperforms vehicles that cost three times as much but there isn't a waiting line for that car. It's just basic economics, the more expensive a product is, the fewer people can afford to buy it. Duh.

Umm it's a 2010. You mean the car has changed since then??
Ive seen a coupe and sedan. a ton of money 60K???
the new z 28 will be close to that the time it rolls out with all options.

the zr1 is a 2 door sports car a 3rd or 4th car for most. and again it out performs ferrari 430 and lamborghini murci or gallardo but would you really take the zr1 if the cars were priced the same? DUH of course not.

the gt-r does this for 80k but it's still pretty ugly.

speed only = part "it's not how fast you go... it's how well you go fast"

here is the link of generations of which = 2

Since $60K is such a pittance to you, would you mind sending me $60K (or more)?

Yeah, that's the older CTS-V, look up the episode where they came to the US and drove the ZR1, CHallenger SRT-8, and CTS-V, as far I know that is the only test they have done of the 2nd gen CTS-V.

You have to give GM props for this car and it was nice to see a comparison where the best car actually wins instead of some magazine crap where the German car can come in last in all tests and still win the comparison. Let's chalk that up to 2 for the US, Mustang GT being big time into M3 territory for 1/2-2/3rds the price and the CTS-V dominating the E63 and being around 20k cheaper.

i wander if the caddy could have claimed the top speed if he would have came out of the corner more aggressively??? but all-in-all it dominated!! +1 for American Muscle!

Not a doubt in my mind it would have. Seems like the caddy came out at 75 mph and the Cerc at 100MPH?

yup the Merc got a 25 MPH head start and only managed to match the speed of the caddy.

my problem with the show is that the drivers tend to make some really worthy comments

For some people, American cars are always sh** and foreign's sh** (especially Euro's) are always better. Keep in mind, I am not saying all European's cars are crap. For these Euro-centric, American can never make a worthwhile car. I have seen more than my share of performance car comparisons where a domestic car won almost every performance categories but lost to a European car because it gets better MPG. If I need a sport sedan tomorrow, the CTS-V would be my first choice among all the sedans under $100K period!

For the guy that said the CTS-V looks exactly like the CTS sedan, I have to tell you even my 13 YO son can tell the differences from a distance, LOL.

[QUOTE=FenwickHockey65;2273865]Are you kidding me?

Top Gear said it best. BMW, Mercedes, and Audi are all so obsessed with what each other are doing that they've all ended up building pretty much the exact same car. Cadillac is the only luxury automaker that's designing cars that don't look like the mainstream.

THIS IS WHAT "PURE SEX" LOOKS LIKE!
