Here's a video made by DC Shoes featuring one of the aircraft salvage yards here in Tucson. It's a great video an aviation enthusiast or dirt bike enthusiast or someone like myself who enjoy both

The camera work is excellent and watching these old aircraft die in the desert is picturesque.

Ooops! That'll teach me to watch those on my phone.

The only time I ever got to use glass was in a full-mo sim at Boeing. That was fun. I managed to prove that a 757 can be landed sideways in a hanger at Boeing Field. But that's a story for another time...

If it takes you an hour to wash one plane thats like getting paid $100 an hour! Not too shabby.
I actually didn't see many schools using glass at our regional competition. We are just lucky I guess.

We can get a plane done in about 30-40 minutes between 10 of us. We generally do two at once with 5 on each.

And at Auburns rate for the glass we are getting $185 per plane being washed!

Possibly.. what's it to ya?

In all seriousness, yeah, I am. Contractor, currently working at CMH for Republic. Trying to get on full time but with 5 slots and 12 guys aiming for them it's a nail biter.

Here is a video of my favorite jet

I know it is a VTOL and all but what still gets me is how easy it makes launching off the deck seem as if it is being lifted by a hand. That sure as shit must be a different feeling then if you were in an F-18 lol
