I know that is one bad sounding car. But it's not "UHMERCAN", LOL

It funny how you right a very well thought out thread about how we should all love each other and be respectful ,then you post this comment that can do nothing but start the fire roaring.

Many don't practice what they preach.

For me I'm the type of person that speaks my mind and don't pull any punches. Sometimes others might not agree with what I have to say, and I don't have a problem with that. It can make for some good conversation ,and I might even have a change of heart after word. There are some 20,000 people on this forum if you think everything is going to be peaches and cream ,and everyone is going agree, then you must have your head in the sand.

I never said everyone had to agree on everything. However, it can be done more civilly, than some seem to do on here.

Uh, not sure why I have my head in the sand. But, that's your opinion.

My goal is to encourage people not tear them down.

I am 60 years old, have had a long life's journey. I have seen much and been involved with much (Good and Bad). So when I can try and lend a positive note for others, as I feel I did here, I try to do so. To me it is hardly having my head in the sand.

I didn't say everyone had to agree. It is the way people tend to be less than civil, which leads to problems and threads being deleted or shut down. And my post about the Mustangs wasn't directed at any individual and was a subtle poke in the ribs. Geez.

Depends on what kind. I myself... would rather go the Jack and Coke route... which I very well might do when I get home.

In my observations, the people that "get" this thread, will. And the people that don't "get" it, won't- and have something negative to say about it. That is all.

I love my Camaro5 family and this car gives me a joy I never expected. I thought like any other car I've ever owned that it would be new for awhile and then I would just drive it like a regular car. I still TO THIS DAY have people hanging out of their car windows taking my picture. The first member of the Camaro5 family that I met in person was some guy at a car show in Springfield, Il. He is today one of my favorite people on the planet!
There is always somebody trying to tell me that I can't take my car to a car show because it is new, guess what, it turns out I'm a trophy wh..e! Am I going to stop going? No way, no how, I'm having too much fun!
Thanks buddy for reminding all of us that life is way too short!
Love ya!

To be fair, I would say the genuine members find the atmosphere here more amicable than that of other forums. Sure, the C5 forum is dedicated to Chevrolet Camaros, but I think most of the gentlemen and ladies here also appreciate pure American muscle, whether it's sporting a bowtie, an oval, or a set of horns.

I happened to be riding along with a new bright yellow Mustang GT w/ stripes in town a few weeks ago, and there were people looking at our cars together and giving the thumbs up. We didn't know each other and we weren't acting like idiots on the road; we just happened to be cruising in the same direction through town in two hot looking vehicles.

Indeed, I enjoy muscle cars whether I drive them or watch them.

I love this site as much as my Camaro. I learn a lot, laugh a lot & try to tune out what is negative. Most of us do "get it" & that is good. I'm sad for those who don't get it. It is good we have moderators to deal with problem issues. Good job guys. I'm feel safe, accepted, understood & well, like I'm with family when I'm on this site. As was recently said on another thread ... It's good to be us!!!
