Just like the production Camaro didn't look anything like the concept Camaro...
There will be differences probably, but more details or things needed to make it a design for ready for production.

Sarcasm? I'd say it was damn close.

Sarcasm.
For those who don't like the name it's likely to change if it makes production.

The EV version of the Jetta looks pretty good. They make EV versions of a lot of regular cars. They just cost more and have a smaller range. I think Tesla tech in a decade+ will help match the range of gas. Cost will still be an issue. On paper, the Chevy spark isn't that bad. 327 lb/ft of torque from a teeny car is pretty nice. How it does it, I dunno. Would I get one? At 82 mi range, no. Not for my lifestyle. |

The Volt has a 16 kWh battery. The base Tesla has 60 kWh battery for 200 mile range and an 85 kWh battery that get up to 270 miles. GM uses a very conservative approach to charging the Volt battery as well, only using a portion of it. It won't over charge or go below 30% charge (if I remember correctly). Bad things happen to batteries when you try to top them off and deplete them fully, so GM had 38 mile range on the current Volt using only a portion of the 16 kWh battery. The base Tesla has almost 4x the battery and the uplevel has over 5x the battery. Don't know if Tesla uses the same conservative charging strategy GM does or not. But simply putting 5.3x the battery in the Volt would get the Volt to 212 miles, give or take. It's just the size of the battery.
