At 5% you're clearly asking for it... I got pulled over the other night for no front plate, illegal tint and registration...

Come on man really , Illegal tint, what a horrible thing to do , they must be stopped , I respect you guys and how hard your job is , But stuff like this is not really relevant in today's world is it?

Oh also there is nothing to fight except that if he is getting pulled over for 2 mph over then maybe he should do something that silly and go to court for the tint and make the police officer prove it, Just to make his point i guess, thats how i would do it.tit for tat

They were checking to see if you had other violations. Your driving and/or appearance of your car made them interested. 2 MPH over the limit is technically illegal and they used this as a basis to pull you over.

Best thing to do if you have dark windows and get pulled over is to lower the windows, turn on the dome light, and put both hands up on the steering wheel. Make the cop feel as comfortable as possible. If they can't see you, they're not comfortable and are more likely to ticket you for dark tint.

Well yeah...I did have some errands to run while on duty, but sheesh...those could wait....like, till I was on overtime or something...
Fight the ticket at least make him show up before you rip off your tint ,
Puh-lease fight it. I love it when I get to go to court and am then told, "he plead out." Don't have to do a thing and get paid just for showing up!

Depends. I might just call in if I'm sleepy and tell them to reschedule the court date....then you get to come back another day. Kinda like you all like to reschedule your court dates over and over and over asking for a reset. I don't mind though. I'll probably make it. After all, it's more overtime!
If you can find out if he is taking a vacation and schedule your court apperance for that time frame

Laws are laws...and we don't write them. If the general public wants them removed, they get to get the ball rolling to repeal the particular law. Officers just enforce them. You can't get mad at them for doing so either. Again, the law is the law. People know this when they put on that illegal window tint. If they get popped for it, WHO is really the person to blame? The officer for doing his job or the person who KNEW it was illegal but did it anyway?

However, 2mph would get tossed out in most cases by the Judge. If that's tossed out, the tint will also be tossed out. PC for the stop was the speeding. Tint was secondary. If you go to court, I'd be willing to bet it's gone in a few minutes. ...well, as long as the Judge is a reasonable person. Shoot...if I got that ticket, I'd take it to court. Two mph, in my professional opinion is absolutely ridiculous!

Coming back from FLA years back in a car I bought there. Car had limo tint windows, and I had temp plates. I was drafting a car in the hammer lane with a car behind me, we were cruising around 70. Went by a Va cop on the center median. Sure enough he pulled me over. The tint got his attention, then the temp plates. Told him that I just bought itand was heading to NY. He must of thought I was hauling guns because he wanted to see in the trunk too. He did let me go with only a 20 minute delay.

OP, quit your whining, I got pulled over for turning left in a left turn only lane. No sh*t. I was told I didn't use my turn signal. This is what I have to deal with in my area.
