I really don't understand why you are even thinking about getting a bigger car right now when your wife isn't even pregnant yet, and when and if she does you still have 9 months before the baby comes.
And even then, why is it the first thing people do is run out and get a big suv?
Overkill IMHO

I'm pretty sure you can fit baby seat in the camaro, I've done it.
And a stroller will fit in the trunk. So what's the problem?
If you have multiple kids and the camaro is your only car, then I can understand.
But for your first born, unless you only have a 2 seater there really isn't a reason to ditch your sports car.

Keep your camaro.

If you want a car, don't buy a caddy. They are overpriced and their parts cost a lot. If you're planning on a kid, that's not the route to go. Check out what GM has to offer and Chevy's SUV's. If used route, look into the SS Trailblazer. I would suggest checking out what Buick has to offer too. A lot of their stuff seems to be pretty sporty now and safe too. If willing to stray away from GM then look at the ford taurus, new ford focus, dodge charger, or jeep srt8. As for foreign cars....Porsche? Nissan?

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

If I understand correct, you have both a g6 and the camaro? If so, I agree with waiting until she IS pregnant first. Then, get rid of the g6 and get a minivan. Dont listen to these people, minivans are great for kids, especially the first 10 years. I don't have kids, but watched my sister raise her family. The benefits of a minivan over a SUV:

1. Get the auto doors, and when you have an arrmful of groceries and an armful of kid, you'll know why.
2. On a long road trip, it possibly for mom to go from the front seat to the back if needed without pulling over.
3. Built in DVD, though they probably have those in SUVs too.

Get a Camaro convertible, it will make getting the kiddos in and out a lot easier. I remember when I was a kid me, my sister and brother all perfectly fit in dad's K car. That was a good example of a tiny car being perfectly capable of handling small children. I guess I don't understand why having kids always equates to have a chemically castrated car?

Is there some law that says children cannot sit in the back seat of Camaros?

Why do people think that kid = "4 door car is a MUST"?!

My girls are grown now, and I never owned a minivan. No thank you!!! I did, however, own a few 4 door Jeeps.
