all we have to go off of for the camaro's handling is the V6's G37 like handling. i am not sure how well the g37 handles but i do know that the V8 will handle better (from a performance standpoint)

Nothing against the Cayman, i'm a porsche person myself and i know how great they are... It says more about how GREAT the 370z is to be able to hang with and even beat cars created by Stuttgart

Im tired of the speculation surrounding the Camaro... time to release the tests.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

if im not mistaken thats not a U.S. road so i dont think those were illegal speeds.

the Z06 is a scary fast car that i would LOVE to own, however money seems to be the only thing holding me back...

The 370z is just a good car for the money; the 41k someone quoted is a loaded version with an automatic. Most will be mid 30’s. I think the Z is trying to compete with the Z4, Cayman and 911 at a much lower price point. Do many people shop 4 seat cars vs. 2 seat cars? I’m sure some will but I think the Z and the Camaro will appeal to different customers.

370z base w/ sport package looks like a good deal. i don't like the cayman exhaust. i would rather have a 911 but why pay that much when the Z can do the samething

370z with the sport package will run you 32k and change, half as much as the cayman and 1/3 that of the 911.

Exactly.

370Z is NOT a 41K car. Heck with all the dealers selling it at slighly above invoice or even MSRP, you can barely hit 39K for a fully loaded one (since they minimized too many add on options and made most of them standard on base 370Z). Most people are buying it at below MSRP and invoice prices. Some with very good haggling skills even driving their Zs out of the dealerships at BELOW msrp.. so, for approximately $30,645 you can own a 370Z with sports package. That's not a bad deal at all.

Don't get me wrong guys, for $24K, Camaro V6 with 300 HP is an amazing deal but for a measly 6K more, I get 2 seater sports coupe that can hang with a cayman S or Older Porsche Carrera

Not sure what kind they have but it stops from 60 in 102 feet... shorter than a 911 turbo w/ Carbon Ceramics

the carbon ceramics dont necessarily improve braking distance, they reduce brake fading (i think). i know it probably sounds like im bashing the 370z, truth is i think its a great car for the price. id just prefer a camaro or porsche.

Why is everyone assuming the Camaro couldn't keep up? Even the Challenger SRT-8 was able to outpace a Lotus Elise SC and nearly beat the S2000 CR in the most recent Lightning Lap. Check it:

Ok... Well pick a car in the $$ range and odds are the Z will outbrake it. Combine that with .99g's through the corner, and 0-60 and you have an ANIMAL on the track.

Im a fan of both cars, but for the money id almost take the Z over the Porsche. Plus one wont cost you an arm and a leg to own.

i think im just jealous that an american car company hasn't offered a car as great and awesome handling as the 370z. im crossing my fingers that in every single way shape and form the camaro SS murders it straight line and in the turns but for now i guess ill have to the 370z and admire it as a worthy competitor
