It is certainly a regional thing. Verizon sucks ballz here in my area, service is horrible. AT&T is amazing. Plus I have been with AT&T for so long their customer service reps are nice to me when I call.

As far as the new iPhone, the rumor is that AT&T will be receiving a new version as well sooner than July. Or they may just be on two separate update cycles, meaning AT&T updates in July, Verizon will update in January. Which would make sense otherwise the tole on the wireless system as a whole would be HUGE!! I will be waiting for the iPhone5 personally. It is rumored to be 4G as Verizon and AT&T are ramping up their 4G network this year. One thing I can't stand about Verizon's network is that you can't talk and use other apps at the same time. That's part of what made the iPhone so revolutionary. I use the maps while talking an driving all the time. Or check the weather or whatever while talking as well. This time of year I do that a lot. I'll be talking to someone who wants to go golfing or something and asks whats the weather supposed to be like on Thursday. Let me check I say LOL. As an example

Biggest issue for me beside not 4G is no simultaneous voice & data - although AT&T has its issues I'm not stepping backwards in features.

I am going to wait for next iPhone before switching phones. My Droid 1 is a great phone I think i'll wait for 4g

Before Iphone was introduced on ATT the service was really good with no real problems. Comparisons between Verizon and ATT were comparable. Then ATT got Iphone and the influx of subscribers overran the bandwidth and ATT started accelerating the 3g network upgrade. Things are now getting better even with the record sales of Iphone being applied to ATT.
Look at Verizon, an outdated CDMA network, slowly upgrading to LTE. Their system is going to be more overloaded than ATT based on their network.
I'm stay put with ATT till Verizon can get out of the CDMA network ! If you think Verizon is going to be any better, think again ! The laws of physics apply ! only so much data can be pushed through the network and the expected verizon additional phones/data will be worse than any thing ATT has ever experienced.

I reserved one already. Can't wait this has been a long time (too Long) coming. My son just got an IPOD touch and I love it. I have wanted one of these for a long time. Only bad thing it is not going to be on the 4G network yet. they said it would require too many design changes.

My girlfriend works closely with both networks and even her conection with verizon said the iPhone is going to suck with Verizon. Verizons internet speed is slow already and is going to be alot worse with the iPhone.

Android powered phones are the way to go. I am with ATT and have the Samsung Captivate and I LOVE it. It can do anything the iPhone can do except no cam on the front. Ask anybody in the cellular buisness and they will tell you that android phones are progressing at a more rapid pace. Android is more open to programers where the iPhone is strictly apple. Apple sucks unless you want to edit a movie on a computer. LoL

So I decided to wait until the iPhone 5 comes out in July. My current contract is up with ATT in June, so I will switch back to VZW in July.
