On a side note, 2k worth of mods won't change the fact that your truck is a Ram (Don't get me wrong, I like some of Dodge's stuff, but their trucks just don't stack up against Ford's or Chevy's; I've heard the new ones are decent though). When the light turned green, the dude took off, and then looked back to see why I wasn't wasting my time racing him. It could have been that I think drag racing in busy intersections is retarded, or maybe it was the cop in the nearby parking lot. Either way, I got a good laugh as the cop's lights turned on and he went after him.
:0 you have NO idea i live in redneck city nebraksa...

Ugh. Again today. A supra was in the left hand lane doing 50 in a 60, he moves over so I can pass, and when I get up next to him he guns it and takes off.

I'd also like to point out that deluxe rice is still rice.

I got lucky, the whole rice thing didn't really take hold until after I was out of high school. My auto shop class was full of rednecks and "slow" people.

alright guys serious question about this. One of my friends has a Z28 and a 98 vette and told me especially when he is in the vette people want to race him all the time. Currently driving an Alero people dont pay much attention to me. However I figure if I am one of the first to get a Camaro in the area, along with being on the interstate most of the time people are bound to try and race me. Is it best just to totally ignore them? Im on cruise control most of the time anyway mostly just going with traffic will this help at all or are people still going to be idiots?

Yes they will. You do whatever comes naturally to you man. I can tell you that if I'm on an open highway and a Civic is speeding up and down to annoy him, I will drop the hammer for a moment to let him know who's in charge. Then I will resume ignoring him. But that's just how I operate...I'm not afraid to open it up to make a point. I just like to think I have the sense to know when and where to do it, and I'm perfectly capable of grumbling to myself instead of acting out (most of the time).

Yes, ignore them. Screwing around on the highway is dumb and dangerous, even to other people on the road who are uninvolved.

Unfortunately, driving normally isn't really going to help anything. In all three instances I've described in this thread, I was driving normally and at five miles an hour above the speed limit.

I was driving home last night from work about 11:25 pm, and I naturally drive a little fast, and I was about to merge into the left lane so I could make my turn to get off the freeway and this asshat in a red/yellow/grey/bondo/blue civic with a park bench welded to the trunk pulls his car up even with mine and starts lurching back and forth. Now I had my indicator on signaling I intended to merge left and he wouldn't move. I slowed down to pull in behind him and he slowed down. I sped up a bit and he sped up. Finally I got sick of "playing" and slowed down again and when I saw him slow down I floored it pullled ahead and in front of him.
And I'll admit I did something mildly stupid and brake checked him, he swerved into the next lane and flipped me off and takes off with a great flatulaing blast from his muffler.
With all the noise coming from his car he sure didn't accelerate very quickly.
I think he just got out of Ricer Initiation Class cause he had the car, the up-turned visor had cocked slightly to the side, and the stickers proclaiming his cars awesomeness.
