I know the Cadillac V has some great performance to it. I don't think it looks very good and not much different than a CTS. If they could improve the look they might have a winner.

I watched the E63 beat-down. It was great. The CTS-V (gen 2) is an amazing vehicle. I was totally surprised watching each of the contests fully expecting the E63 to win, especially on the wet test. Seeing Tanner totally surprised on the rolling 60-130 test - watching the CTS-V pull away like the E63 was standing still. Priceless.

I have to totally disagree... the CTS-V (and CTS) are effin gorgeous. And they did an excellent job differentiating the two. They are not ALMOST anonymous like the German super-sedan/coupes. U have to seriously look at an M5 or E63AMG to see the differences between them and their lessor versions.

Your comment about LOOKS is subjective... as is mine... and everyone is entitled

might have a winner? jeez. it looks like sex. runs like sex. perfoms like sex. owns all it surveys in its class, and a lot of other classes.

The E63 AMG and M5 don't look very different than a standard E-class or 5-series...

I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers but your correct looks are subjective and to me it doesn't garnish a 2nd look despite it's amazing performance. Park it next to some of the other cars mentioned and watch to where the ladies flock to. I guess then again I'm mid thirties and single so curb appeal is still important.

Top Gear said it best. BMW, Mercedes, and Audi are all so obsessed with what each other are doing that they've all ended up building pretty much the exact same car. Cadillac is the only luxury automaker that's designing cars that don't look like the mainstream.

Yeah. CTS-V looks worlds better.

on looks (imo) and granted this is a gm forum but i'm still a camaro owner- you would get 100% difference on bmw-mercedes boards as gm get's little respect.

1. mercedes
2. bmw
3. caddy

..... and top gear well clarkson was pretty brutal overall about the v.

"AN OLD MAN'S CAR WITH A HAMMER UNDERNEATH"

speed channel gave their results to the ctsv but many other shows and mags pick the e63. i would take an e55 over either.

i guess the real answer is buy what you like and can afford. i've posted this before my s class was 2x the amount of my previous V model but from my experience it's at least 2x better overall.

speed is only part of an automobile-
