Hello there guys I was born in 1962, back when they had Iron Men and Wooden Ships! I grew up in the sixties just when the pony war was going hot and heavy. I was a car guy and didn't even know it. I knew the Mustang was fast but I didn't like the way it looked. I also knew the Charger was fast but it was closer to the mark. Then I noticed the Camaro and I knew it was fast but I also wanted one! And I've wanted one ever since. Then they came up with these here new Camaros. And when I totaled my F-150 I decided to go with a Camaro because I knew it was fast (V6 and 312hp) and I really wanted one. Now I have one! I've never wanted anything 'as long as I could remember'. I've only wanted the Camaro 'as long as I could remember'. I hope you have as much fun with yours as I do with mine. Stay thirsty my friends!!!

Diane and Castrosua --- Thanks for the tour info !! Taylorville is about 20 miles away from me. It looks like that pathway is going to let you see alot of fields of corn and fields of corn and fields of corn. "Bills Toasty Shop" is a great place to eat in Taylorville if you like homemade hamburgers with extra grease (local favorite). I can give you the address or I am sure you can google it.

John
Yeah. Hope you guys can join in on part of the tour, I'll check out the restaurant, or if you have any other suggestions of places to go.

I have also been interviewing level 2 technicians for the two open positions remaining. I should finsh that up this week and we can extend offers to the best candidates. Then they will need to pass the screening and background checks and give proper notice to their current employers.

I figure I am in for long work weeks through at least June maybe July before everyone is hired and partially trained. There is one good thing from all of this working so much is it forced me to build up my energy levels back up to the way I felt before my surgery. Health wise this is the best I have felt in months but I am getting tired of the long work weeks. The extra money in my paychecks is nice as well.
Glad to hear you're able to be back at work and doing ok.

The autocross I did, they took us on a walk all around the course so we knew where we needed to go.

Troy --- welcome !!

Diane --- after looking at your start time of 8:30 you will be in taylorville before "bill's" is open. If you are starting later , then I can find out what time they open for lunch. I guess I need to find out if they are open for lunch. I have never ate their at lunch. Will get back to you.

That sure looks like fun! The videos never look as fast as you're really going. Noticed that when I watch Top Gear drivers doing their course, and Clarkson always mentions that it always looks slower, yet they're flying!

Couldn't tell if you were gett'n wheel chirp in the turns? For some reason I didn't get any sound when I watched it. It didn't look like you broke loose anywhere, seemed to be sticking solid.

Thanks for posting, I enjoyed watching!

It depends what youre driving. Cars, yes. The long the look the slower it seems youre driving (since you cant see the road moving closer to you that seems faster)

I got videos back when I was driving a bus and it looks like im FLYING. I have one going through the Lincoln Tunnel and it seems like im doing 100mph going through. It didnt help that one lane wasnt moving at all, and my lane was free (those that know the area, you cant change lanes at all in the tunnel. They will pull you over when you come out. Thats one thing I NEVER saw anyone do, and people here drive like idiots)

I presume those suction cups work quite well for the GoPro's as I see everyone using them? Want to get one before Power Tour. The camera I've decided on, are there different choices for the cup? Only seen the one.

Looks like fun Ruby. Always wanted to try it!

I was not going fast enough to get much chirp. The idea is to brake before entering corners & accelerate coming out but this course was almost all curves & even the few short straights had very sharp turns at the end of them. I got a little chirp on the start on a couple of the runs. Yep, it is fun but it felt as slow as it looked. Felt like I was creeping around but I was already taking out a couple of cones. Much faster & I would have been off course. I could not see far enough ahead how the course was laid out to anticipate & go faster. If I could have gotten several more runs, maybe I could have gotten a little faster but probably not much. Glad I went but autocross is probably never going to be my best event. Just fun.

The suction cup mount shouldn't bother the paint at all as long as the surface (and the suction cup) are clean and smooth.

I have used GoPro suction cup mounts quite a few times on the paint (hood and trunk lid created too much vibration in the image so I generally mount to either the windshield, the top of the rear quarter panels, or the door). I tried mounting my GoPro to Jan's windshield (inside) a couple years ago at CamaroFest in Indy, but it would not stick ... she has tint, which does not give a solid enough or stable enough surface to stick to, and didn't want to risk pulling the tint off the windshield in bubbles.

Where Jan mounted it is a solid location for them where you won't accidentally break a windshield washer arm if you inadvertently activate wipers (have almost trashed my wiper arm twice, and club member did break one of his that way).

Nice video, Jan! Glad ya had fun!

Hi John - I will definitely be leaving on time, if not earlier. I like to have time to stop and "smell the roses"

I was going to recommend the GoPro too. Used mine for the last 3 years, first at CamaroFest and then HRPT a few times........and I was going to tell you about my experience but Andy beat me to it, it's a common problem........

Yep, I broke my windshield washer arm because I forgot the camera was there and turned my wipers on

Good morning crew. Drizzly & cold here this morning; Blackberry winter I guess. I am really sore. Guess I have been pushing too hard trying in vane to lose this weight. Aqualipo is looking better & better. Just need to win the lottery. Not sure how much longer I will be able to exercise like this. Starting to feel my age. There is a limit as to how much farther I am willing to go in my diet restrictions. I am very tired of having nothing that fits on my fat azz. Can I say FRUSTRATED!!!!!!

Hi Andy. Haven't seen you around here much lately. Have fun on the HRPT. I want to do that one of these years. HAGD all.
