I'm with PQ on this one .. it will be interesting to see the weight difference, but I think they are going to be pretty close (CTS-V Coupe and Z/28) .. I'd love it if they can keep the Z/28 at 4000lbs and still keep the cost down.

Impressive stats for the price though for sure !!

Just looking at how heavy these cars are, I can't fathom how either of these cars could beat the GT500 (2011) on a racetrack. Drag strip maybe, but not on a racetrack.

I think I understand now why they made the 2011 GT500 more for a racetrack, as these raw power arms races could go on indefinitely. It's easier for Ford to compete based on race track time given it'll be a long time before Chevy can bring the weight of the Z28 down to a competitive level.

This car is coming to Forza3.

Also, DG, it's a CTS-V Coupe...

I don't like calling it that either. I think the V-series Cadillacs should be badged to remove the T, which implies touring. For example, the CTS lineup should be titled as follows: CTS or CTC; CSS-V or CSC-V. The vehicle is clearly a sport vehicle, not a touring vehicle as the name would imply. The final S refers to being a sedan, which the coupe is not. The whole Cadillac naming structure has lost its purpose. The last time Cadillac had a coupe, it was the ETC, and it was correctly labelled based on its heritage as the Eldorado Touring Coupe (ETC). The Catera Touring Coupe (CTC) should get the same treatment with the added benefit of renaming all future sport models as Sport Coupe or Sport Sedans.

Maybe Cadillac should just go back to naming its cars. I'm not a fan of abbreviations for most vehicles. Letters stand for something. Let people know what they mean.

Why don't they just call them V-Coupe and V-Sedan?

IT IS? Sweet! When?! That'll be a nice addition to my CTS V and Insignia VXR! (And all the other awesome GM's i have)

And Tac, CTS = is Touring sedan, so a CTC would be a Touring Coupe.
(What's the C stand for? Ah, i just seen Blur's post.)

Do you remember the Cadillac Catera? It's the same idea.

.

Considering a GT500 just recently took out a Grand Sport Corvette..yeah..it shouldnt be too concerned with either the CTS-V or the coupe versions

I realize it has the same basic suspension as the ZR1, but the Cadillac's is more refined and softer. I'm expecting the Z28's to be not as refined and better around the corners.

I like having the four door version. After all, I already have a two door sports car (my Camaro)! As far as suspension goes, if you want sporty in the CTS-V, just push the button with the shock absorber on it. Sport suspension is engaged then.
