I so agree! My neighbor has a Prius and it's butt ugly! No style whatsoever.

I would definitely pick a Volt over it any day. Just don't want to pay 40k for it.

Bob Lutz said the concept would've performed better in the wind tunnel if they put it in backwards. It completely defeats the purpose of the Voltec powertrain.

That was not a prototype, it was ONLY a show car. No one could fit in the back seats and the aero was horrible. It would never have worked.

That being said, you are not alone. I know a lot of people inside the company that really liked the look of the show car. It's just that when they tried to productionize it, it failed on aero alone which is a must for a car like the Volt.

Why do you think all of the true hybrids are 5 door hatch backs? Aero!

And OP, nice catch with the pics. CTF starts in September I believe and I know a few people who can let me evaluate one

Also if you guys recall, I posted up when I got to drive a prototype at MPG earlier. It drives verrrry nice.

Technically no.

Astra has a 5-door hatchback. May or may not be a Buick here.

Opel has a 5-door Insignia hatchback.

Holden's working on a Cruze hatchback. May or may not happen here.

And there's always the Aveo.

One of the "refreshing" visual tricks they've employed is the below-the-beltline accent in Black, giving the greenhouse a "taller" look without sacrificing side impact capabilities. Reminds me at a glance of the original Lumina Sedan design which was well-received at the time... More "heritage".

that car, unlike any other of it's kind(civic hybrid, prius), is actually a hot ass car. i'm sure chevy will put a big price tag on it, somewhere around 30k i'm guessin.
