Shiner Bock; from Shiner Texas..... until..... well, still from Shiner TX.
but...bud $52billion$$$$ it sucks that they sold it, but $52 B $$$$ free market capitalism... exporting our $$$(future Bud profits) to another country. unfortunately that seems to be our biggest export...$$$$

sad

German beer is where it's at!
Amen to that, the selling of Bud has done the beer world a favor. Maybe if they start making it else where it will taste like real beer. Although it will really suck if this costs Americans their jobs.

here is a link to a song created after the merger.

And I am sure that Coors is now owned by SABmiller. SAB stands for South African Brewing, so dont count that as 100% American

I am a huge fan of Coors. nothing tastes better out of an icebox.

but (and im only 19 so i can say this without sounding gay) ive never actually tried Sam Adams. Im sure its good, but i wont even know for sure until ive tried like 20+ flavors.

Bud light and Coors was always the norm at my parties. i guess its Coors and Sam now.

sorry 'bout that "last American Beer" comment, there are really a lot left if you wanna get into micro breweries...ie

Abita Purple Haze - Louisiana
Lost Coast (many varieties) - California
Rogue (even more varieties) - Somewhere in the midwest
etc etc...

Samuel Adams is just the most commonly known other than coors which is more like water than beer. We actually have a liquor store in my area that has 500+ kinds of beer from all over the world. I love the American Microbreweries. I bet there aren't too many people that have tried as much beer as I have. I used to work at a place called "yardhouse" that kept 150 different types on tap and yes, I have tried them all...From Monty Pythons Holy Ail to Delerium Tremens/Nocturnum to Sea Dog Blue Paw, etc...Anyone know of any really off beat beers they would recommend?

Rogue is out of Colorado, I think. There are a lot of small Colorado companies that are unbelievable in quality.

Alright...kilt lifter...know what kind of beer it is?
One of my local breweries came out with an amber ale called "monk in the trunk" and it's awesome...should almost ask the guy to sell me a couple bottles but to change the label to "shunt in the trunk"

But seriuosly, it is a good beer.
