Bud Light was based in St. Louis until InBev announced their purchase today. There are 12 breweries in the US. Now it'll probably be made in Belgium.

I am more angry about the InBev purchase of AB than you could possibly imagine.

Well, as a native of St. Louis, let me say I'm a bit more than pissed off. Anhueser-Busch was bought out by InBev, a Belgian brewer, and the merger would make the company the world's largest brewer. People and politicians in Missouri are worried that cuts will be drastic. What irks me is the fact that once again, the almighty dollar is what it's all about. Originally, A-B fought the merger offer 'cuz it was too low at $65 per share. InBev threatened to buy shares directly from shareholders. The board met with InBev again, and to my surprise recommended sale at InBev's $70 per share offer. Just great. Another piece of American history sold to some foreign investor. Did anyone know the brewery in St. Louis is on the Federal List of Historic Places? Hell, why not sell the Arch while we're at it? This country is going to hell in a handbasket thanks to SELL-OUTS. Just like Brian France and his sell-out of Nascar for toyota's CASH. Maybe GM well sell-out to toyota next, and I can jump off a bridge rather than watch the total demise of what was once the greatest country on earth. Thanks, SELL-OUTS.

I'm with you! This is preposterous. I want my Budweiser. I have 2 cases in my college fridge right now, and I'm considering pouring them out for some STL Rolling Rock or KC Boulevard. My first beer was a Bud. And I'm from STL too.

InBev announced the new company will be called Anhueser-Busch-InBev, and all 12 US breweries will remain open. Headquarters will be in St. Louis. The sale must be approved by sharholders and regulators. A-B has 48% of the domestic market in the USA. SABMiller will be second to the new A-B-InBev. For those who didn't know, Miller was bought by South African Brewing a few years ago. Guess I'll be drinking Sam Adams until it gets bought by some foreign scum.

I like your idea, but Rolling Rock was from Pennsylvania and was bought out by A-B not that long ago! Besides, the beer in your fridge was still brewed by the REAL A-B, and shouldn't go to waste. If you like, I will gladly help you drink it!!!!!

Shiner Bock, Sam Adams or Yuengling for me now. I've been looking for a reason to get rid of my old Bud Dale Jr. hats, shirts, etc., and this gives me reason.

I saw this coming and have started drinkin Samuel Adams as well. Sammy light is awesome, so is the summer ale. The publix by my house actually sells mix packs where you can try all kinds of Sammy. Granted, now we have to spend $14 on a 12 pack, but still it will be probably the last true Amercian beer.

Your last sentence is unfortunately sad but most likely, true. LAST AMERICAN BEER. What's NEXT to be the last American anything for cryin' out loud? Maybe McDonald's can sell out. Maybe Coca-Cola. How about General Motors for God's sake? This is bullsh!t.

Just look into any random sewer and you'll know where bud light, or basically any light beer, is being brewed...

"People who drink light "beer" don't like the taste of beer; they just like to pee a lot."
-- Capital Brewery, Middleton, WI

German beer is where it's at!

I never really cared for Bud, Coors or Miller, I'll stick with Arrogant Bastard Ale.
