I wouldn't. I would buy what looked good, rip out the 4, and put what I wanted in it.

hmmm...if I HAD to go with a 4? Probably the Solstice GXP coupe, followed VERY closely by both the Sky Redline, and the Cobalt SS.

I'd probably go for something like this...

http://www.bell-colvill.co.uk/Lotus/...p?CarId=BN0341

Or i'd go for a Mazda RX7.... after all that only has 2 cylinders (well sort of)

VW GTI. 260hp stock, easy to mod, great low-end torque, and the same interior comfort as my Rabbit.

I wouldn't mid getting a Cobalt SS/TC or an HHR SS/TC. But if I could choose any 4 cylinder it would be a Lotus Exige S, they are badass. But my next 4 cylinder is going to be my Camaro, well ok it will only be a 4 cylinder everyonce in a while.

And I do love them Ecotecs, they are great engines. My next sandrail will have one in it.

Yes, as a V8. From what I've seen pretty un-inspired concept.
