Personally a PS4 was never even in my thoughts when the next gen consoles came out. I have had my XB1 for about 3 months now and it has been great, the only issues I have had are related to XB Live so I can't blame the system.

However I will say that the voice control needs some improvement as well. Most of the time I feel like I have to yell at it for it to understand but that doesn't really bother me because I am usually using smart glass or have my control next to me.

Right now none, it was more towards the time TitanFall came out. However I do get the issues where it wont load your pins and sidebars from time to time just like PMC but that is a known issue with consoles all over the country.

My other live issue is how long it takes to install a game. That isn't necessary Microsofts fault as I have a crappy internet connection but it has just been stupid how new games on release day need to download a 6Gb update.

I've heard more than once that internet connection has a bunch to do with the performance of the X1. Fortunately I have Fios and I'm one step down from their max package. I hope that's enough.

I've never been interested in the PS units mostly because I don't like Sony's business practices. They like to make their products (or at least used to) with all kinds of proprietary stuff so that you have to buy their crap. Apple likes to do the same, I won't buy their crap either. I've been with Xbox since the beginning and the Xbox One (their Third console) will be my third Xbox... Why didn't they just call it and Xbox Three BTW? lol

Xbox One's name comes from an "All in One Experience". Which I buy into because it really is more than a gaming console. But that doesn't mean gaming falls by the wayside, still a force to be reckon with. Exclusive titles will be the battleground for this generation. Half of my games are exclusive, Dead Rising 3, Forza 5, and Titanfall. But I agree, I think the name is silly and a little confusing to the average consumer.

I haven't heard about performance issues related to bandwidth limitations. XB1 does use cloud computing, but as long as your internet is connecting faster than 3Mbps, you should be okay. I would recommend at least 10Mbps for overhead and other connecting devices in your household. If you have fiber, you're going to be fine. It was my understanding most fiber internet packages offer blazing speeds. I'm on cable with a 30Mbps down & 5Mbps upload and I've never had an issue. Though currently I've been getting 65Mbps download for some reason. I'm not complaining. haha

Most keyboard warriors will talk nonsense when they're experiencing issues (or a fanboy wanting to bash another system), most of it is hypothetical unless they have some sort of background in technology/networking and can prove their point. If they can't, it's safe to assume they're talking out their ass.

Damn, that was an in depth explanation. Thanks for that. I'm only halfway worried that there will be issues with the console once I get it. I'm going in anyways. The 360 is well on the way to being abandoned and I might as well jump in now rather than waiting. I want Forza 5 anyways. Plus I have to have the machine figured out and fully integrated by the time Assasins Creed comes out.

Honestly no, my experience with Forza and TitanFall has been great. Thief not so much but that wasn't the Xbox's fault, it was just a bad game. My next game will be Watch Dogs and I can not wait for it. It will take me a while to amass the collection of games I had for my 360 but overall I am liking the one more than the 360.

While true, my honest opinion is that Microsoft will not develop that keyboard for the one. They are attempting to push the smart glass app and USB based keyboard with the one.

It's very useful and I use it all the time. It's much more useful than the voice controls that rarely work for me when your actually watching something

I've used the smartglass, is there an option to type? For instance, if i'm in hulu plus or Netflix, and I want to search for a movie? also, when playing games and filling out info...
