They send you a check with extra padding for shipping and then you deposit the check, ship the item to them, and find out weeks later that the check bounced and you're liable for all the charges and full amount of the check.

It was in reverse, they were looking to buy from him, he said pay him via google (parents who knows what he meant, Im guessing wallet) and that he would then ship the car up to them, actually I believe that his brother would drive it up. The price was too cheap especially for driving 800 miles to them which is why they said I would pick it up.

The 250 GTO isn't just rare. Some consider it to be the most desirable car ever built. The last one to change hands (at least according to an article I saw at the time) went for $35 million. Go to Amazon and search the Books category for "250 GTO" and you'll get an idea.
