Without the VIN on the purchase order, I'm not sure you would have much of a case.

Welcome to the reality of wanting to buy a car in high demand during a period of limited availability. Anybody who thought it was not going to happen with the Camaro was either in denial or unwilling/unable to accept the facts.

Things will get better as more cars are produced. What are the catch-words? Patience. Keep the faith.

The Pontiac Solstice folks went thru this same BS a few years back. It's what GM would consider bad publicity and in my opinion, helped ruin folks that were coming back to give Pontiac a new chance.

Best to identify the dealership "city" & "street" to warn other buyers.

Just don't do business with dealeships like this...they should be the first to be down-sized.

Sorry for your troubles and what I would consider a real "loss" emotionally and physically.

Contact Chevy customer support and file a complaint...corporate needs to know the facts.

Unless you got a line order# and a VIN and/or a time limit I guess they can try to reneg on the deal. You can hire a Lawyer but you won't get attorneys fees reembursed and you're out that money.

I'm vulnerable because I don't have their signature on my deal. I just have MSRP + TT&D and MY signature. It's on THEIR bill with MY 1000.00 confirmation. I should be just fine but these dealers will have NO problem selling these thing off the lot for a while.

Oh, and don't worry. MANY people and organizations will know if they were to try something like that.
